The Classic 7″ Craftsman Knife by Wusthof is a hybrid knife inspired by the farm-to-table movement. It combines the benefits of a cook’s knife, boning knife and carving knife, making it a versatile blade for meal preparation – from slicing your onions to carving your roast. The blade’s extra width at the bolster allows the knife to rock smoothly for chopping, mincing and dicing. The clip-point blade maneuvers easily around joints for deboning and filleting. The fluted hollow edge creates air pockets between the food and the knife’s blade, making it easier to slice through even the starchiest foods.

Each knife in the Classic triple riveted series by Wusthof-Trident is forged from a single piece of specially tempered high carbon stainless steel to ensure outstanding strength. Each Wusthof knife is now made with PEtec, a state of the art technology featuring a computer controlled method for creating a razor sharp, long lasting edge. This technology measures the blade before sharpening, and calculates the exact angle of 14 degrees per side (for a total of 28 degrees) for each blade. The blade is then sharpened on a whetstone using precision robots. The result is an optimum cutting edge along the entire length of the blade, resulting in an extremely high initial cutting potential and exceptionally long edge retention.
